FEB 02: NEWS: Mike "Coop" Cooper procession
A procession led by Centerville fire trucks leads the remains of Mike “Coop” Cooper back into Centerville on Sunday. The procession made its way to the Centerville city limits just before 5 p.m. Sunday. Cooper, 61, died at his home Saturday, Jan. 31 after his efforts fighting the recent fire at Cowan Enterprises, LLC. Authorities are considering his passing a line of duty death. Funeral services for Cooper, who was a 37-year veteran of the department and assistant fire chief, have been set for Saturday, Feb. 7 at 11 a.m.
